Privacy Policy

What We Collect

This site keeps its data footprint small. When analytics is switched on, it records aggregate page views and outbound clicks, and the hosting provider writes standard server logs. There are no accounts to create and no booking forms here, since every reservation happens with the operator, so nothing is tied to a profile about you.

Cookies And Outbound Links

A small number of cookies and measurement scripts help show which cruise and rental pages get read, from Lockport lock cruises to multi-night canal boat hire. Clicking through to an operator such as Lockport Locks or Colonial Belle takes you off this site, and from that point their own cookie and privacy terms apply. The booking pages you land on are governed by those companies, not by this comparison site.

Data You Send Us

The only personal data this site receives is what you choose to put in an email to the contact address. It is used to reply to your question and for nothing else. Nothing is added to a mailing list or shared with a third party.

Storage And Retention

This site is a small, mostly static resource, so there is no member area, no trip planner, and no stored set of your cruise selections. A standard web host records brief request logs for every page, including this one, and those logs age out on the host's own schedule. Bookings are not taken here. When you reserve a Lockport locks cruise or a canal boat rental, the operator's own system handles the transaction, which means no payment details of any kind pass through us.

Your Choices

Your browser settings control cookies entirely, and every page on this site loads fine with them blocked or cleared. Nothing here breaks if you decline. Once you click through to a cruise operator or a rental company for a trip on the Erie Canal, their privacy policy governs, and it is worth reading before you book. Questions about what this site does or does not collect can go to us directly, and a plain answer comes back.
